Information for Before and After School Program

 

We have partnered with Champions for our before and after school programming. Champions has a separate process for enrollment into their program. You need to be fully enrolled for next school year before you can enroll for the before and after school program.

 

Weekly Fee:

Before-School:

Pre-K: 1-5 days: $35 per week

Kinder - 5th grade: 1-5 days: $35 per week

After-School:

Pre-K 

1-2 days: $60 per week

3-5 days: $85 per week

​

Kinder – 5th

1-2 days: $50 per week

3-5 days: $80 per week

 

Program hours:

The program runs Monday – Friday

Before school: 7:00 - 8:45 am

After school: 3:15 - 6:00 pm

 

How do I enroll my child in the Champions After School Program?

You will need to fill out a paper enrollment packet which you can pick up in the main office or reach out to the site director for an electronic copy.

When is the deadline to enroll?

You can enroll now at any time. Visit the website to create an account and submit your enrollment packet to the site director. Enrollment is now open.

 

What is the fee to enroll my child?

Please visit the Champions website for more information. 

 

Is there a discount for siblings?

Yes, the discount for the second child is 10% off.

 

What type of payments does Champions accept?

Champions accepts credit cards and debit cards only.

What happens if a student is picked up late?

$10.00 per 15 minute late fee. We try to provide a grace period if staff is aware of lateness. After 6:30 Champions must report to CPS.

 

Is snack provided during the program?

Yes, DCPS provides afterschool snack for the program.

 

How do I apply for a reduced rate?

If you are currently enrolled in the Champions after school program and need to apply for Subsidized Child Care Voucher (discount) you now have 3 options to apply for subsidized childcare services. Champions is a Level 2 provider which means families can apply for the voucher without going to DHS. To do so CLICK HERE to schedule an appointment.

 

If you already have a caseworker for another child receiving subsidized childcare services, then you must apply in person at one of the 2 locations listed below. Please ensure that you have all your documentation prior to going.

 

New families are able to apply 30 days prior to the start of school.

Documents to bring with you:

  • Verification of Employment: 1 pay stub from the past 45 days

  • Government Issued Photo ID

  • Birth Certificate for all of the applicant’s children (full size only)

  • Verification of other income (i.e. SSI, Social Security Benefits, TANF, etc.)

  • Verification of address (utility, DC proof of benefits, lease, etc.)

  • Updated Health Certificate
